Our mission is to operate a free range farm in an environmentally sustainable manner, using natural fertilisers, minerals and manures.

The Farm

Fish Creek Farm was founded on the principles of ethical and sustainable food production. Our free range animals are grown on organic principals for the production of very fine food. Prior to buying the farm in 2013 it was operated as a certified biodynamic farm.

The enterprise consists of purebred Elite Speckle Park Stud Cattle, commercial Angus Cattle, Prime Suffolk Crossbred Lambs, Rare Breed Chickens, Miniature Goats and an Alpaca.

Our animals and vegetables are grown without the use of hormone growth supplements and antibiotics. They thrive naturally in the pristine and pure environment that is ‘Fish Creek’ in renowned farming country, in South Gippsland.

Our mission is to operate a free range farm in an environmentally sustainable manner, using natural fertilisers, minerals and manures to increase the fertility and health of our soils, pastures, crops and most importantly our Stud Breeding Livestock.

Our Livestock are happier and healthier because of these farming principals. We show our Speckle Park Cattle at the Royal Shows and have stock for sale by appointment.

Stay & Dine

Jason a qualified Chef has been catering in Melbourne for the last 15 successful years and will continue to do so for many years to come. It is a passion that was passed down to him from his Grandparents who were both fantastic cooks in Melbourne in the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. Nowadays the catering is combined with his wife Sarah whose speciality is baking and preserves.

Fish Creek Farm offers a unique dining experience whether it is a paddock BBQ or a formal dinner in the renovated vintage barn. The farm tour and dinner or lunch experience is one that guests always enjoy the most and all the ingredients are sourced from Fish Creek Farm seasonally and organically.

Currently we can organise a variety of local accommodation options but in the future Fish Creek farm have plans to provide onsite sustainable accommodation.

Fish Creek

Fish Creek is a charming, hill rolling, arty rural village (population 800) in South Gippsland nestled within a dairy and beef area. Known for its fabulous art deco hotel, Fish Creek is the gateway to nearby Wilson’s Promontory and Waratah Bay. The town has two cafes, Flying Cow and KO Bar & Grill. It also has a coffee shop/foodstore/bookstore called 9 Acres, as well as a general store and a number of shops and galleries. One of the galleries/shops in Fish Creek includes Alison Lester who is one of Australia’s most beloved children’s authors and illustrators. The Great Southern Rail Trail follows the old railway line between Foster to the East and Leongatha to the West. The track is suitable for cycling, walking and horse riding.

ACCOMMODATION

Fish Creek Farm is a 3 km drive to the town and a 10 minute drive to Foster. Fish Creek is regarded as the gate way to the famous Wilson Promontory National Park. Closer by are the beautiful untouched and quiet beaches Sandy Point, Waratah Bay and Walkerville all within a 15 minute drive away.
